Research Register for Social Care - adding and editing content

When adding to the Research Register, or editing existing items, data is added or edited using a form that contains the fields listed below.

Mandatory? - fields that are mandatory must be completed before the 'Ready to submit' box can be checked. This option will be greyed-out until all mandatory fields are completed. Checking the 'Ready to submit' box and saving your record will submit it for inclusion on the Research Register and Social Care Online.

Link? - text in fields that are links can be clicked on to run a search within the Research Register. For example, clicking on the text 'Social Care Institute for Excellence' in the ' Lead organisation' field will return all records where the Social Care Institute for Excellence is the Lead organisation. Similarly, clicking on a topic term term will return all records containing that term.

Topics No Yes You can add topics from the Social Care Online taxonomy by clicking on the ‘Add' button. This will open the taxonomy and allow you to browse through adding as many terms as are appropriate. You can also type topics in directly, separated by a semi-colon (;). Topics will only be accepted if they are in the taxonomy – which you can view or download from Social Care Online.
