Research Register for Social Care

Welcome to the Research Register for Social Care (RRSC).

The Research Register records social care research that has been subject to independent ethical and scientific review. This includes current and completed research, and research carried out by students and practitioners.

The main source of research submitted to the site is research conducted through the Research Governance Framework which is being implemented in Local Authorities, and from a number of Social Care Research Institutions/ Universities who are conducting research on behalf of the Department of Health.

A partnership with the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) means research relating to children's educational issues is also covered by the Research Register.

The Research Register can be searched to obtain summary details of the individual studies and links to further information about them.

All research added to the Register can be viewed using the search options (Simple, Advanced and Browse Research Register topics). It is it is only necessary to register if you wish to add research to the site.
